I fell behind on our Mexico posts, but don't want to leave out the post from Alexia's big day! This precious girl had the joy and privilege of celebrating her 8th birthday in paradise!
We let her plan the entire day. She opted for our normal routine of breakfast at the restaurant (which you'll see below, the waiters made extras special), swimming in the pool while Lucia napped and then to a place called Playa Mia which was a water park by the ocean. We then came back to the hotel to shower up, get dressed and head to the nice Italian restaurant in the resort. It was an incredible day, celebrating all the ways in which God has worked and continues to work in this girl's life. She brings an abundance of joy, love, laughter, kindness, compassion, sillies, hugs and kisses to our family. We are each so very grateful for her and all that she is. She is one amazing girl!

I wanted to take her picture, but she was reading and just couldn't put her book down. This is definitely her favorite thing to do right now, read. She ALWAYS has her nose in a book and is just flying through books.

When we arrived to the restaurant we found her place at the table decorated with confetti, balloons, cards, etc. She was glowing!
The awesome front desk/concierge team who worked so hard to make it really special for her.

The day before we had requested a carrot cake for her and they did not disappoint!
