A special weekend
People often ask "how do you do it?" with Ricardo's new work and travel schedule. The Lord has been so gracious and he truly provides in all areas. We have had wonderful family times together in the past couple of months and we cherish and appreciate our time together more than ever. Ricardo took a four day weekend this weekend so that we could have some special family time, just being together. It was wonderful! Some highlights included, pizza/movie night on Friday, afternoon pool date with the Grahams, movie date with the big kids, sushi date night in on Saturday, Aaron and Helen over for dinner on Sunday, naps, soccer matches, yummy food and simply being together. Today was the day we called "vacation." We started off with an awesome breakfast at J Christophers and then headed to one of our favorite nature trails by the Chattahoochee in Roswell. The trails were empty since it's Monday so we had a blast exploring it all on our own. We were there for over 2 hours and enjoyed every second. Marco even had a 45 minute nap in the baby bjorn. From there we headed to Village Burger for lunch where we enjoyed great eats and Diego was thrilled to watch the Womens World Cup on the TV. Since Ricardo likes to spoil me we went to a new bakery close by to buy a piece of delicious cake. And since he wanted to spoil me double time he let me take a 1.5 hour nap when we got home and I enjoyed cake and coffee after my nap. We played inside for awhile and then headed out for a stroll in the neighborhood and Ricardo and I returned dripping wet from each pushing a stroller in the 90 degree weather. It was great! We ended the vacation day with a dinner of leftovers and now all the kids are zonked out.

Breakfast time!
Alexia chose her hiking outfit. Ricardo and I cracked up that even her undies were pink!

I love that lil' hand on my arm

We put the camera on a bridge with the self timer

Ricardo had us all holding our breath as he climbed this tree over the river. The kids and I screamed a few times, fearing a loss of balance, but of course he was fine.
