A fun weekend

Wow, it's been a long time since I've uploaded pictures from our camera and sat down to write a post. I love the convenience of sending pictures from my phone, but that has led to much less narrating of our days. That's probably best for now.
We had a super fun day today. We didn't have any plans when we woke up, but it turned out to be a busy day, loaded with fun. We went out to breakfast at our favorite place near home and the kids devoured a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. From there, we went to a nature preserve near the Chattahoochee in Roswell and had a fabulous nature walk. Since we weren't sure where the day would lead us, we didn't have snacks or water or anything...but there were no complaints and we had so much fun exploring and walking together.
We were hungry after the walk so we had a light sushi lunch nearby and then went for a frozen yogurt treat at Yogli Mogli. The pictures I sent from my phone earlier were from there. Marco enjoyed a cup with some strawberries and kiwi while everyone else had frozen yogurt.
We got home at 2pm and Ricardo had to head to the airport at 3:30, but he still had to shower, get ready and pack! We all worked together and had him out the door by 3:45, it was record time for packing!
Below are the pictures from our time enjoying God's creation:

At the start of the trail, ready to explore!

Marco was really tired by this time, but was so enthralled by the trees, river, animals, etc that he was really content.

My boy who loves to climb anything, any chance he gets.

Ricardo and Diego went out into the river and Diego was in heaven.

Alexia opted to stay on shore and stomp around in the mud

This was a really precious bonding time for Diego and Ricardo!

We had fun in the mud!

I nursed Marco while the guys were in the river so he was ready for a snooze after Ricardo dried off. This was his morning nap. Such a champ!!

That climbing boy again!
