Sunday afternoon

Dear Grandpa and Great-grandpa,
I was on my way upstairs and realized I had not posted any pictures today. I know you check the blog every day, so I wanted you to enjoy these pictures. :)
After church on Sunday we went to the church spring picnic and had a blast. We were so hot after being in the heat for several hours that we decided to have a cool-down in the pool before dinner:

Alexia doesn't like her face to get wet so she asks for the water to be turned off when it's her turn to go down.

Marco played in the dirt...

...and needed big bro and big sis to help him clean it up.

Fun with friends

I think I mentioned last time that I have a backlog of pictures...well, it is even worse now! Here are some from a few weeks ago that are too cute not to post!

A yummy picnic lunch with our dear friends

He loves to chomp on watermelon!

Cooling off after lunch

He was gasping because the water was so cold, but he loved it

Ruth and I were inside with the babies and we came back outside to this crazy mud party. We weren't sure whether to laugh or cry. We decided to laugh and let them enjoy the fun in the mud.

BobbiJo came to our house to take pictures a few weeks ago. Over the years she has taken beautiful pictures of our family, but I don't have any pictures of her! Here she is pushing Alexia on the swing. She is not only an awesome photographer, but she is a special friend of our family! Alexia had a blast with her!

When Hartley stayed with us for the week, I decided to take the kiddos to the zoo. Laura and her boys met us there and we had so much fun.

Alexia and Hartley taking a rest in the petting zoo.

Alexia and Oliver are precious together!

This was Diego's last soccer practice before his last game. 15 minutes before practice was over, the coach called all the moms on to the field to have a match, moms against kids. It was such a blast! It was so fun to see the excitement in their eyes as they saw their mommies out there playing with them. I scored the only goal for the moms so Diego thought that was so cool. The kids beat us, 3-1!

A fun weekend

Wow, it's been a long time since I've uploaded pictures from our camera and sat down to write a post. I love the convenience of sending pictures from my phone, but that has led to much less narrating of our days. That's probably best for now.
We had a super fun day today. We didn't have any plans when we woke up, but it turned out to be a busy day, loaded with fun. We went out to breakfast at our favorite place near home and the kids devoured a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. From there, we went to a nature preserve near the Chattahoochee in Roswell and had a fabulous nature walk. Since we weren't sure where the day would lead us, we didn't have snacks or water or anything...but there were no complaints and we had so much fun exploring and walking together.
We were hungry after the walk so we had a light sushi lunch nearby and then went for a frozen yogurt treat at Yogli Mogli. The pictures I sent from my phone earlier were from there. Marco enjoyed a cup with some strawberries and kiwi while everyone else had frozen yogurt.
We got home at 2pm and Ricardo had to head to the airport at 3:30, but he still had to shower, get ready and pack! We all worked together and had him out the door by 3:45, it was record time for packing!
Below are the pictures from our time enjoying God's creation:

At the start of the trail, ready to explore!

Marco was really tired by this time, but was so enthralled by the trees, river, animals, etc that he was really content.

My boy who loves to climb anything, any chance he gets.

Ricardo and Diego went out into the river and Diego was in heaven.

Alexia opted to stay on shore and stomp around in the mud

This was a really precious bonding time for Diego and Ricardo!

We had fun in the mud!

I nursed Marco while the guys were in the river so he was ready for a snooze after Ricardo dried off. This was his morning nap. Such a champ!!

That climbing boy again!

We brought Michaela and Alexis home with us to help Ness out this afternoon. Alexia told me that she wants Michaela to live with us since she loves her so much :)

Diego has been picking up random books and reading them by himself. Makes my heart swell with joy!

Not sure if the video below will go through. It is Alexia signing " God is in charge" which she made up while I was filming. We had thunderstorms tonight so I talked a lot about God being in charge. Hope you can see it!
