I know I said I was going to try to update more often, but it is much easier said than done! We had a great week last week. Since Marco's birth, we haven't really had a "normal" week. We've either had company, Ricardo was able to go to work late/come home early, Ricardo had some days off, Diego was in sports camp every morning, etc...so last week was our first week back to "normal," but I'm not sure what normal is anymore! We started the week off with very few plans, but ended up filling our days with fun. On Tuesday morning I took the kids to Jeronimo's which is a bouncy house place and they had a blast. It was the first time that Alexia went off with Diego and really enjoyed it. They have lots of seating and comfy couches so Marco and I hung out on the couches while Diego and Alexia had a blast flying down the slides and jumping in the bouncy houses.
On Wednesday Patricia and Caitlin came over around 12:30 and stayed until close to 5:00pm. Patricia and I enjoyed hanging out and Diego, Alexia and Caitlin all played really well together. Alexia adores "Tia Paty" so she put her down for her nap and Alexia was thrilled that she was still here when she woke up!
On Thursday we had more friends over. Katie and Megan came over at 10am with the their kids (minus Henry) and the kids had a lot of fun playing in the pool. Diego and Luke were a little wild in the pool so poor Ella Ann was not very happy with them. Luke and Ella Ann are starting full time school this fall so it is sad to realize that we won't be able to have weekday playdates with them until next summer. Katie and Megan had to leave before lunch, but Ruth and her kids came right at lunch time so it was so much fun to let the fun continue!
Diego went to sports camp Friday morning and loved it, as always. Ricardo was able to take advantage of "summer Friday" at the office and came home at 1:00pm which was such a treat. We had a nice afternoon together as a family and then headed over to Megan's parent's house to enjoy an evening of swimming and pizza.

The kids ask to hold Marco many, many times every day. He is so laid back and enjoys being in their arms. Sweet baby!

Rolly polly boy at 8 weeks!

Eating peaches with Caitlin

Eating peaches...again! The kids loved munching on juicy peaches before running to the pool.

This picture cracks me up...Diego went overboard!

This is at Megan's parents house on Friday night. We set the kids up on blankets in the family room to watch Cars while they ate their pizza. Can you find Marco?! He is on the left arm chair, sound asleep. Dave, Megan, Ricardo and I enjoyed our meal at the dining room table, uninterrupted...well, for a little while anyways.

Have you noticed a pattern? Diego almost always has his lips glued to Marco's hand. He loves giving him kisses!
This is supposed to be Marco's playmat, but Diego and Alexia insist on playing right by his side. Sweet moments.
I have to give an update on Marco's sleeping. He is doing awesome. He goes to bed right around 8:00, nurses at 3:30 and sleeps until 7:00. Diego and Alexia did not do so well at night until after they were 1. What a champ!
Some cuteness from Alexia:
Alexia was acting up in the car and kept calling my name, but I was trying to ignore her so I wouldn't lose my patience. She said "Mama, when I listen to you, talk to me!" Of course she meant to say "when I talk to you, listen to me," but she got it backwards. Diego and I both cracked up!
Every night we have a family devotional time. We pray, read the bible, sing songs, memorize bible verses and review catechisms. After we closed in prayer this evening, Alexia stood up and said "Yo senti a Jesus en mi corazon." (I felt Jesus in my heart)
