After church we returned home for lunch and nap time. Ricardo had some work to do so when Alexia woke up from her nap, her and I headed out the door. I am bummed to have left the camera at home because it was a glorious afternoon. It was a bit drizzly, but with blue skies peaking through it made for a beautiful hue. We walked for 2 hours and she slept most of the time.
Ricardo and I went on a date on Sunday night, but Grammie emailed us before the meal was served to say that Alexia was awake. That may not seem like a big deal...but these days it is a VERY big deal. When we walked in the door, she was totally hysterical and screaming...but the minute she heard my voice, she calmed down. Once she calmed down, Ricardo wanted to hold her and she lost it again, until she was back in my arms. Hmmm, we're wondering if this separation anxiety or what...?
Now Alexia is getting a cold so she's been even more difficult the past two nights. Last night her and I both slept a total of about 4 hours...feels like newborn days again.
Grammie and Diego are out for a walk this morning. He loves going out and seeing the big buses - especially the double-deckers!
Oops - looking the wrong way...
...that's better.
Trying to convince his new friend to share the ball
Didn't quite work
On our way home from the grocery store yesterday. We took two strollers so that we could load one up with groceries. Good thing Grammie is so strong and is such a trooper - she even carries the red stroller up and down the stairs for me! (our apartment building doesn't have an elevator)
Whenever Diego sees flowers he says "Flowers for mami"
This is our favorite restaurant for fish 'n chips - it's just a few steps away from the foot bridge
