On Sunday we had Ricardo's favorite breakfast - apple puffed pancakes and we enjoyed a quite morning at home. It was really special to celebrate Ricardo's 2nd Father's Day and to recount all the wonderful memories of the year. We went to church and once again, home for nap time. We then packed up all of our goodies and headed out for a BBQ. We found a great park up north a little bit that had a huge playground right next to our little BBQ pavilion so Diego was as happy as can be. Ricardo and I took turns chasing him down the path to the playground and playing with him on all the toys. Just as he nears any sort of slope in the ground, he looks up at us, reaches out his hand and says "Mamo" which is his way of saying "mano" (hand). He also learned how to say his name last week. If we say "Como te llamas" (what's your name), he points at his chest and says "Digo." It's SO cute!
A very Proud Papi with his lil' munchkin!
He was watching Papi do head-stands here!

We set the self-timer on the camera and came running down the hill with Diego. We had never swung him like this before, and once we did it, he wouldn't let us stop. He would say "Mas, mas, mas" over and over. (If you click on the picture, you can see just how big the grin is on Diego's face)
I sure enjoyed my food at the BBQ - I started with corn...
...then moved on to asparagus (notice all the corn I ate off the cob!)...
...and finished off with some delicious watermelon.
He kept running up the slide and saying "Up, up, up!"
This was Ricardo's Father's Day gift. It is a yearly tradition we started last year and is a fun way to remember all the fun events of the past year. Diego loved hearing the story of each picture!
