Christmas week!

On the day after Christmas, Aldo had us over for an incredible Salvadoran breakfast.  I ate until I seriously thought I was going to burst!

Pupusas, plantains, beans, cream, curtido - it was all dreamy!

After the feast, we had a wonderful walk outside in the gorgeous weather - notice all of the short sleeved shirts!

On Saturday afternoon, Diego went to see the new Star Wars with the family while Ricardo and I took the other 3 to see the Charlie Brown movie.  I'm so grateful that Ricardo went with me b/c Lucia was not into the whole theater experience.  We had to take turns walking her out in the lobby.

After the movie, we went for a lovely nature walk while we waited to meet the other for dinner:

We ended the night together at Mellow Mushroom with the whole crew!

Christmas week!

This was our Christmas Eve dinner and we had a super fun time!
Enjoying my tea out of my amazing tea cup that Taylor brought me from Bosnia.

Diego and Anjuli and church on Christmas Day.

Lucia's adorable Christmas shoes!

After lunch on Christmas Day we did our family gift exchange and the children opened the rest of their presents.

Stockings on Christmas morning:

We gifted the children roller blades for Christmas and they could not have loved them more!!

Mima brought Lucia an adorable pink bike!

Christmas week!

Of course a visit from Tio Roby would not be complete without a wrestling match where he tries to take down Diego and Ricardo...
This girl.  She reads and reads and reads.  She walks up the stairs with her nose in a book, she walks down the stairs with her nose in a book. She sometimes reads an entire chapter book in a day!

Tia Ale and Tio Benoit.  They live in Holland and are due to have their baby at the end of January!  I love this picture of them!!

Tio Diego and his girlfriend, Chloe.  They live in London and spent Christmas there this year.

We know these slumber parties won't last forever. Our hearts are warmed every time we peak in on them and find them together. Bickering has been the norm around here for a few weeks so these precious times are even sweeter!

We did a major, major clean out of the garage yesterday. The kids loved blading while they worked!
