Yikes! It's been oh so very long since I've posted. I know I'll never be able to keep up this blog like I used to, but there are a few things that I want to jot down:
- Celina started walking! She's almost 17 months and has been walking for almost 2 weeks. She absolutely loves this new skill and keeps herself very busy. She is an absolute and total delight. We are all just so crazy over her and can't get enough of her adorable antics. She adores her siblings and has so much fun interacting with them and playing. She may be our biggest eater at this age. She loves her morning smoothie (banana, yogurt, berries, water) and she gobbles up most anything we give her.
- Lucia started preschool and absolutely loves it!
- We are homeschooling all the kids fully at home this year and we love it. It is a whole lot of work for this mama, but really would not want to be doing anything else. These kids are amazing.
- Diego and Marco are both in soccer and all 3 big kids take piano lessons and love it.
- We just went to family camp with DASCH this past weekend and had a blast. It's one of the kids' favorite weekends so it was special to watch them enjoy it so thoroughly.
- GRAMMIE IS MOVING TO ATLANTA!! She closed on the Broadway yesterday and arrives here on Oct 14. We are so so excited!
- Ricardo has been on the pastoral search committee for over a year and this Sunday we have a congregational vote to vote on their candidate, Jeff Hamm. Very exciting times for our church!
- When I think of what this blog used to be, my heart can get achy as I realize I am no longer documenting our children''s childhood like I used to. So many details, so many memories that I would love to capture and document, and I'm just not. But life with 5 kids is so busy. Life with 5 kids and homeschooling is busier. So I will be grateful for what we do have documented here in the blog and realize that instead of writing these days, I am living the life of my dreams...being wife, mother and daughter of the King.
