Oh love is captured so well in these pictures! We so miss our besties.
We have had a most wonderful Christmas week!  Mima, Opa, Tia Majo, Tio Roby and Alfredo all arrived on Tuesday evening.  I had dreadful flu for 3 days and was feeling better just in time to get ready for their arrival.  The kids have absolutely loved having everyone here and we've enjoyed really special times.

Tio Roby took the kids to the mall for their traditional Christmas Eve shopping and treated them to a frappuccino!

The merchants.
Mechanical pencils are all the rage over here. I'm not quite sure how, but the children have accumulated quite a few. One of their favorite activities is "trading" They each take their box/bag of pencils and they trade pencils, led, erasers, pens. Sometimes they happily trade for 30-40 minutes. They're learning great negotiating and peace-keeping skills.

This morning Alexia complained of a scratchy throat which usually would not warrant staying home, but something about the way her eyes looked told me she wasn't well so I let her stay home. By 10:30 her temp was 102.6 and by 1:30 she was throwing up! I think we've been hit by the flu. Poor baby girl has been miserable :(. Praying the others are spared!
The pic above is from our afternoon walk...it was so good to get out.

Wedding pictures!

Post-church photo shoot :)

We wanted to honor grammie with a nice evening in gratitude of her amazing sacrifice of keeping the kids. We went for a walk at the nature center and then to dinner at Circle Sushi. She was happy!

Happy 14th anniversary to us!!! We had an amazing night away on Sunday to celebrate. My mom took the kids home from church where a babysitter met her to help out for the afternoon.
Ricardo and I went to Barcelona for lunch, walked around Inman Park and then checked into our hotel. We took a nap at 5:30, went to church at 7:30 and arrived to dinner at 9:15. We had a super special and celebratory meal at Bistro Niko.

Oysters on the half shell-yum!

Ok, so yes, I love to eat :)
This was our breakfast at the lounge on Monday morning. After breakfast we hung out, read, and then went to the mall for some Christmas shopping. It was so carefree and just what we had hoped for.
The kids did so well at home and Lucia was a champ with her bottles.
Wow, how grateful I am for a godly, loving, thoughtful and amazing hubby!

Look at these kids! I was 21!!

Best friends!

So the Christmas dinner was a huge success! Above is a picture of the make-shift kitchen the caterers set up in the playroom. The children were fascinated!

All ready!

The children absolutely loved getting to stay up for the whole party, eat yummy food and talk to the guests. They were so good.

We had a gift exchange and here's the pile of gifts!

Most people let the children take turns opening gifts-so sweet!

A full house!
