Here's our crawling machine enjoying some brown rice. Wow, this girl is the delicacy of all delights.
She has 6 teeth, has mastered crawling, can say "mama" and does.not cry. She nurses her way through the day and has one meal of real food a day. Her favorites are sweet potato and pumpkin or any fruit. She goes to bed around 7:00-7:30, wakes up to nurse at 4:00 or 5:00 and then sleeps until 7:00 or until Diego wakes her up by getting ready for school. She sleeps in his room and he loves it. She naps 2-3 times a day, 40 min - 2 hrs at a time...totally unpredictable. She goes crazy over her siblings, doesn't laugh or cry, but smiles all the time. When we say "how big is Lucia?" She puts one arm up in the air to say "so big". If I say "quieres leche?" She immediately sucks her thumb and fusses until
I nurse her. She is attached to her gee-gee for sleeping and has one in the car too.
Diego calls her "curry powder" or "missy pants" and we are all completely and totally smitten with her.

As you can tell from Marco's smile, he had a blast making pizza and smoothies with James and Will yesterday. Sweet friends!

Alexia likes to write names on the napkins when she sets the table. This is what she wrote yesterday. Love her!

Our Indian princess and ninjas. We went to a neighbors house for pizza and then trick or treating with a herd of children. The kids had a total blast! Lucia was the champ of all champs! More pics in a bit...

I'm hanging out in the car with my girl while Marco is in speech therapy. He now goes three times a week and he's doing great.

Diego the minuteman

A couple of weeks ago Ricardo repelled down the side of the Intercontinental to raise awareness for addictions. It was a great cause and it provided the opportunity to talk to our kids about addictions and honor Tio Roby who's been sober for 19 years!

Our precious baby girl was baptized yesterday. Oh what a joy. Baptisms always make be cry so you can imagine how it was with my own baby!
What a privilege to be called to raise Lucia (and all our children!) up in the Truth. Lord, strengthen us and equip us. Lucia, may you be bold to proclaim your love for Jesus all the days of your life!

After church we had a special family celebratory lunch at Uncle Julio's. Yum!

Marco loves to make Lucia stand. They're playing the drums here. Have I ever mentioned how crazy this boy is for his sister?! More often than not, whenever we're driving somewhere, he asks "when we get there, can I please hold Lucia??"

I left marco in the car with Lucia while I ran up to get some things this morning. They were super quiet and I came down to find this!

This is the kitchen junk drawer and it's always a MESS. Diego asked if he could organize it for me and he did a fantastic job!!

Ricardo's sister Ale and her husband Benoit are traveling the world right now. He left his corporate job and they are backpacking for 4 months to explore amazing destinations. We're thrilled because Atlanta is on their agenda in December!! Aren't they the cutest?!

Her lil daddy. He is so happy she can sit on his hip now.

Alexia hit a very exciting milestone this week! She has been fluently reading for a few months and has done so well. This week she completed her first chapter book and was just glowing with excitement. I love these reading buddies!

My very favorite place to do my morning quiet time/bible study.

I took the kids to a fair in the mall parking lot last night. Man, it was sooooo much fun! There were ZERO lines and they ran from ride to ride with squeals and giggles. I texted Ricardo and said "We're $(--) poorer, but many giggles and memories richer!" What a joy they were!
I seriously cringed as I bought them corn dogs, but there has to be a first for everything, right?!
Lucia hung out in the ergo the whole time and was as happy as can be.

Today was a glorious day for a walk!
