Loving on sick Marco

Sunday afternoon Qwirkle!

Marco's spot

Playing uno

Hallelujah! Marco is better! He was bed ridden for two full days. He even has bed sores on his ear because he didn't move his head from the pillow for 2 days. He slept on a mattress in the family room Fri and Sat nights. D and A showered him with love and care.
He kept saying he just couldn't wait to hold his little missy and that that was what he disliked most about being sick. So here he is giving her a cuddle!!

So The Lord has laid on our hearts a desire to build community where we live. This is from The Lord as Ricardo and I had separate visions for the same thing and the same way to do it - so cool!
Here we have 55 invitations that we'll hand deliver today to every house on our street. This could possibly yield us a party of 150 or more! My guess is it'll be around 85 or so. We really don't know that many people on our street, probably only 15 of the 55 houses so it will be so cool to meet more neighbors and provide an opportunity for them to meet each other.

And now we're on to watermelon juice. He has been in this position all.day.long. He hasn't moved one single inch bc he's in so much pain. (Peeing in a bottle is the perfect solution). Please pray for healing for his body.
He doesn't want to watch videos or anything....just lay there and listen to me tell stories, music and read books. Precious boy!

You know this boy feels miserable if he can fall asleep with a bowl if watermelon in front of him. Poor guy has tonsillitis. He woke up at 3am with 103.2 temp, crying in pain.

Shoulder ride...and an attempt at one...!

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Alexia and I have just started Relay Exchange with the girls in her class. We get together once a month to study the bible, learn a new skill and fellowship together. The first skill was bread making...next month we'll learn how to tie knots.

Dreamy!
While I cooked the rice and pasta for date night, Ricardo grilled steak and veggies and set up the table outside. He put up 4 torches in the backyard and lit candles on the table and on the windowsill behind us. Everything was just gorgeous. I felt very loved. We had a wonderful time!

I visited the kids at school today. Alexia and Aimee were buddy buddies the whole time

We made homemade tortillas this week. They tasted similar to naan to me. They were soooo good and the kids loved them. They are them with crock pot flank steak and I ate them with homemade refried beans-oh yum!

Marco kindly offered to make an Emergen-C for me this morning so here he us climbing up to get the box

Lunch at the park!

The food consumption is increasing drastically around here!

Diego kissing Lucia's legs. It's not a daily thing, it's an hourly thing!

Marco, the sheet monster sneaking up on Lucia!

I had the great privilege of helping out in Alexia's nature studies class today. We made crowns with flowers, leaves, etc. it was so much fun!

Best big sister ever! I left Alexia to feed Lucia while I put Marco to bed. When I came back down she had fed her everything, wiped her down and was getting her out of her high chair.

Just what this sick lil girl needed yesterday!

Marco licking the spoon

The finished product!

Marco and i made this cake for homegroup yesterday. Lucia is still sick so I couldn't go, but dear Paulette sent me a picture to show that Ricardo did a great job assembling it. He had to layer it there. I hope he brings home some leftovers!

The climbers are at it again!

We've had a rough week with Lucia. She came down with a fever on Monday and the last time she nursed was Tuesday evening. Today is Friday. I have had to force feed her pumped milk with a medicine dropper. At one point she went 18 hours with only 1oz of milk. All day yesterday, she had 4oz of milk (via medicine dropper). We think she has hand, foot and mouth bc underneath her tongue is full of blisters. My mission of the week has been to keep her out of the hospital (from dehydration) and so far we're doing ok. Please pray she would be back to nursing by tomorrow!

M husband loves me well. He brought flowers this week and cut off these stems and made this adorable display on the windowsill.

"Pretend a black mamba is biting my face"

Our baby girl is 7 months old today!! She's the delicacy of all delights!
She is still exclusively breastfeeding, naps 2-3 times a day, is attached to her blankee, sits up, rolls over, laughs, coos, sleeps from 7pm-6ish am, and is simply amazing!!
