"Oh my days!" is the new exlclamation of the children. That is how I feel when I think of what we've been up to! This is a rare occasion for me to sit down and upload pictures and type up a blog post, but I thought tonight was a great night to do it.
Our dear, dear friends Scott and Paige (they live in San Francisco) are visiting us this week and they are out on a date right now and Ricardo is out of town so I thought I'd take advantage of a quiet moment. Paige, Sev (2 1/2) and Sayler (5 months) arrived on Tuesday of this week, Scott arrived tonight and Ricardo returns tomorrow. We have had a blast with them and the kids are so excited to have our friends here!
The pictures uploaded in backward order so I'll post backwards, starting with picture explanations and then a little catch up at the end.
The kids painted this afternoon after Sev and Marco's naps
While Sev and Marco napped today I took the big kids out for a special ice cream date.
Yesterday we went to Brook Run Park and the kids had a blast together! Sev and Alexia adore each other.
This was supposed to be a 4-person train, but they got separated so here's the first half.
Marco and Sev have a bit of a love/hate relationship. Here they loved each other! They don't ever dislike each other, but they are just working out the struggles of being TWO together!
Before the park yesterday we went blueberry picking down the street and ate our fair share of blueberries!
Diego, Alexia and Marco are all in love with Sayler!
Now we'll back up a few days. Last Friday Ricardo returned home from a trip so we went out on a Friday family date night and had a super fun dinnner at Uncle Julio's. On Saturday morning we tidied up, made lunch and welcomed friends over for lunch. The Lalley's are the precious family taht hosted a BBQ for us last year when we were new to Heritage and we had only met them once. They have two older children that attend Heritage so D and A thought it was so fun to be able to play outside with them! On Saturday night we had a wonderful date night in. We grilled fish and enjoyed our meal al fresco in the backyard.
Sunday was our crazy day! We went to church at 11:00 and then straight to a pool party/lunch at Alok and Nina's house. Alok had a get together for the buddies who went to HBS together and their families. There were 4 families and 9 kids and we had a great time! From there we rushed home to get everything set up to host our church home fellowship group that started at 5:00pm. We had a really fun time with everyone here for home group and the bouncy house was an added bonus! Since we hosted a party for Ricardo's work team here on Monday night, we had all of the equipment delivered a day early so we'd have it here for home group. It worked out really well!
So since we had this amazing bouncy house in the backyard, we decided to invite several friends over to play on Monday morning so we could share the fun while we had it! The rest of Monday was spent cleaning and getting ready for Ricardo's work party at 5:30pm. It was catered by an awesome company that brings in a brick oven to back pizzas on-site. I have those pictures on the other camera so I will have to upload them later. It was a great evening with delicious food, nice company and lots of kids for the Lopi to play with!
Then that brings us back to Tuesday when Paige and kids arrived!!
This pictures was taken on Monday afternoon after the tent had been decorated, but you can't really see it well in this picture.
This was taken on Sunday evening at home group.
Our wonderful meal on Saturday night. We had grilled salmon, grilled tuna and fresh salads. Delish!

And that brings us up to date from last Friday to this Thursday. I'm really hoping to get some more posts up soon because exciting things are happening around here! The children are full of quirks and funnies and I'd love to share more about them.
